I was just swimming, or I felt like I was

And then I aimed for the sun

I was a fetus in mother earth
And then limbs began to exert
And then I awaited my birth

And as I climbed ashore like a new baby born
A pathetic little cave man
Every man for himself awareness came
I never left my cave home

Then I was a teenager, hunter and gatherer
Culture and music hound
Couldn't wait to see what I
Found myself in a tribe, a new way to survive

I was just farming, or I felt like I was
Joined a higher collegium
And then we'd all have enough

I built a machine to do the whole job
And that offset the human cost
And then I aimed for the top

And as I climbed the ladder, the earth didn't matter
Apathetic greedy old man
Every man for himself awareness came
I never left my cave home
And as we climbed aboard, the casket lowered
And the rocket prepared to blast
Out into space like a
Ghostly ruined scene, out of a ship that we
Now call home
