South by Kieran Mahon

Having spent much of the last year making longform pieces, I wanted to challenge myself in this project to try and condense ideas down to less than 10 mins, whilst keeping a strong sense of drift and timelessness.
Some of the pieces here are made from just two tracks.
Central to the process was not fearing repetition.

I think the outcome is somewhat more introspective and minimal than my other releases in 2018.
The pieces may be shorter than previous ones, but in some ways I think they are deeper listening experiences.

For my tastes, I have noticed that this album works best played at a loud volume level.
