Indian Summer by Klaus Adamaschek & Shiregreen
The Americans call "Indian Summer" a warm weather period in late autumn, when summer once again pulls out all the stops, with bright blue skies and intense leaf coloration. INDIAN SUMMER is also the name of Shiregreen's new album, which tells "of the colors and of the seasons of life". An album into which we have put a lot of soul, with colorful splashes of folk, rock, country and German singer-songwriter tradition. An artistic cover with the leitmotif of the four trees and the lovingly designed booklet with all the lyrics accompany a soothing journey inside.
INDIAN SUMMER has become a true band album, which perhaps distinguishes it most from the previous 13 Shiregreen albums. For example, the retrospective "Yesterday when we were young," written for a former friend who has since moved "a million miles" away from shared ideals, proves to be a classic rock anthem, with the electrifying bass of Paul Adamaschek, the defining guitars of Tom Eriksen and Johannes Gunkel, and the driving drums of Jonas Giger. The son of drum legend Peter Giger ("Family of Percussion") is new to Shiregreen and provides noticeably more power. In addition to the basic band in classic rock line-up, Sascha Schmitt on key instruments and Lukas Bergmann on violin provide emotional moments, similar to the harmony vocals of Marisa Linß and Paul Adamaschek.
