Fade In. Morning light sweeps in through unfamiliar curtains.
It all starts in a new decade; "welcome to the future, here's your complimentary towel." It's Saturday night and the city is alive. Mustard shirt and a disco groove. Anxious, much? Got an album of disposables. Got to prep material for middle aged tears behind the rose tinted shades.
I turn a corner and step into 2010. Maybe the future was just a dream. Here come The Heartbreak Jets! I can't believe I left it this long to learn all my lines.
I can feel flecks of bootlegged champagne as I ascend the time chasm again. It's a 1920s theme party and the feathers are falling like snow. Someone puts a drink in my hand. "Thanks a lot, it's been a real night". A string of pearls is floating in the fishbowl.
I make it back in a cymbal crash. Alright? "It's opening night." I'm swimming in setting spray and the radiators are up full blast. I see a face. And then ...
I step up ...
and into ...
