WALDORF by MARGOT
Well, we don't really know about Margot. You never really know with Pepe & Giaga, the two Rimini geniuses. In those times of 'slow s the new black', why would one want to release a 140 bpm techno track? When pop house is in order, why one want to release a Tovey/Soft cell vocal romp sung in an unknown language (we still haven't got a clue, we don't want to)?
Erol Alkan was, for us,an obvious choice. Why again? Because he's such a gentleman of taste, first and foremost. And an old friend that, like us, does not dwell on past glories. Looking ahead His 'extended rework' is exactly that: Erol would not give us 'an Erol track' with a sprinkle of Margot on top. Erol made Margot his (including rave pianos), or Margot is Erol, i don't know. Have a listen, you will.
