Thanks Be by Lithium Bath

"One must imagine Sisyphus happy." Yada. Fucking. Yada. Must one imagine that Sisyphus is at home there, on that hill? What is home if not the grounds from which routine is operated, even if the task is grueling? In a matter of words it is easy to determine that this is an inadequate definition of home. Yet so often home is just that- the grounds upon which a miserable daily life is operated. If we accept that as true, though, we're throwing in the towel. So, without looking for a better answer, let's at least believe firmly that there is one.

This isn't about commiserating. This is about hoping that home is much more than a stone, a hill, or an old as fuck analogy. This is an album about home, and more importantly, how fond memories dematerialize the concrete, corporeal elements of a home. It's been said before by many- home is where the heart is. Lithium Bath exists across a country, one of us on a rock (Skagway, Alaska) and the other a hard place (Tyler, Texas). What keeps us together as individuals and as a band can be partially attributed to that collective, shared experience of creating something beautiful together. In that creative act, a feeling- call it home, or whatever you want- draws us towards peace and gratitude, away from struggle.That corny enough for ya?
