Elekriti from Elekriti by Lloyd Milburn
This is the title track of the album. Elekriti is a portmanteau word (mashup) I created from "electricity" and "kriti," a Hindi word (>Sanskrit: कृति, krti) that means creation/activity, or a Carnatic musical composition format. Elekriti also hints at the word "alacrity" which describes the original live recording session. The song hopefully expresses the musical beauty, joy, and the historical fortitude of oppressed or displaced cultures like the Roma.

Lyrics
"Our caravans will carry music like water. Ghatams, our treasures, will pour, pour across borders and flow out to the whole world" (translated from Tamil and sung by Vidya Naganathan).
Later in the song Curro Cueto of Sevilla, Spain sings "Escucha, tengo sangre gitana , cantaré en voz alta y no me acallarán. Nuestra música ha viajado lejos, y se ha extendido por todas partes. Sus raíces están en la tierra. ¡La llama sigue ardiendo!"

This track has guest flamenco singer Curro Cueto from Spain and Carnatic singer Vidya Naganathan. The basic instrumental tracks were recorded live in the studio with Craig Snyder on electric guitar shredding and elephant sounds, Elekriti conductor Lloyd Milburn on untamed electric bass with sitar/tabla effects, and Frank Quagliata on drums and thunderbolts.
