Apart was written to someone who shut their family out. It was written to get the message through to this person when there was no other way to do so. It has gotten some hate and has been deemed 'hateful' but the song was written out of love trying to desperately meet someone who has lost their way.
Lyrics:
I say andele
I pray that you're ok
I hope I'm not too late
You're a rockstar
You write a nice blog
And I'm just tryin' a to get to you before you go too far
Off the deep end
Yeah we were best friends
And now I'm coming back to you I'm tryin' a make amends
But you ain't listenin'
There's something that's missin'
And you've been way too busy just playin' the victim
You're going down this path
You're bound to feel His wrath
And every time I see you yeah you're always slidin' back
You're going down this path
You're bound to feel His wrath
And every time I see you yeah you're always slidin' back
But you can come home
We miss you we miss you
And we can go back
To the good times good times
And we can laugh
Like we used to we used to
And never go back
To when we were apart
And this is what I say
I miss you every day
Today I'm gonna pray
Come back home
Your sins He will atone
Forgiveness is forever no it is not just a loan
So transparent
You'd block your parent
You're spending all your time being arrogant
Playin' ping pong
With feelings for so long
Even though we're different yeah we all can get along
Connection has been cut
And even though we're in a rut
Yeah your family will be there for you no matter what
Connection has been cut
And even though we're in a rut
Yeah your family will be there for you no matter what
And you can come home
We miss you we miss you
And we can go back
To the good times good times
And we can laugh
Like we used to we used to
And never go back
To when we were apart
You virtue signal every chance you get
But someone with real virtue you see as a threat
You think you're fighting the good fight
But you're really fighting to not hear opinions you don't like
You can always come back
We love you and nothing is going to change that
And you can come home
We miss you we miss you
And we can go back
To the good times good times
And we can laugh
Like we used to we used to
And never go back
To when we were apart
