instrumental of this track was recorded in one take. this was the only way to get this one to sound right. no tails of the reverb cut from punching in takes. the melodies swelling in, as the last note rings out. it needed to be done this way in order to sound as it ought to. took a lot of practice. lot more to it than it sounds. remembering to switch patterns on black sequencer, as well as digitakt, remembering to unmute a cymbal for one hit, cutting drums for the break, while maintaining levels and modulating filters of the main three synths, then getting the outro to smoothly fade out. wanted to get this one up to help showcase this side of the album. i would go and redo the whole album like this, but that would mean another year holding things up. this will be the final single before the album is released. thank you for tuning in. -cellar doves
