Lyrics
he spends his time watching—
all the rivers of his soul, flowing into empathy and quietism—
allowing light, but not detailed images, to pass through;
hopefulness so strong it defines the right to rule;
boldness so bright it chooses to be soft,
muted,
quiet,
static, yet flowing,
radiant, radiant
integrity.
and his light fits her so perfectly.
"where?", he says to her,
"where has a single breath
been
left
unadored?”
she spends her time searching—
in free-minded, expressive swaying—
scrying her hands for them, with the wait of their own hands;
rememberings that hold dandelions that hold their voices.
and oh! their voices, to each other, sound like heaven.
but he often looks abstracted when he is not; his largeness is full and so is the light,
slipping from his eyes in lengthy tears that streak down his far-seeing reflections
and the earth becomes sundrench’d by him and the light looks, as he does, long.
and after many afterthoughts,
of afterthoughts,
of afterthoughts,
in a mostly-silent night of shared glancing;
he asks, “what medicine do you recommend?”
first pausing, to think, then slowly, “me”,
she says.
