Sweet Child from REDWOOD SUMMER by Luke Janela
This song is certainly a love song, and it was written unconventionally for me, where the lyrics just flowed and flowed (there were a few verses that didn't fit into the song) and I made the music after.
The crowd sounds you hear are from a Bruce Springsteen concert standing waiting for the band to hit the stage. If you know me you know that's a huge moment in my life. I wanted the audio recording to kind of make it feel as if you were wading through a crowd yourself.
I will just say that I have not been this blunt and open with my lyrics as I have with this song. It's a bit scary, you run the risk of becoming corny. But I like it. I was also afraid to put this love song on an otherwise other-themed album. But now it feels right.
