Consequences by Lunar Paths feat. pMad and Killtoys
Back in late 2024, Lunar Paths had an idea. Taking as a starting point the classic parlour game of 'exquisite corpses', also known as 'consequences', where each participant takes turns drawing on a sheet of paper, folding it to conceal their contribution, and then passing it to the next participant, who in turn adds another drawing, they started to wonder if a musical version was possible. They approached long time mutual admirers pMad and Killtoys, and—even though they have never met face to face—they decided to give it a go…
Each band recorded a song, and then, without sharing the finished song with the other two bands, they shared their percussion, instructing the other bands to create a brand-new song based only upon that isolated percussion. The results were astounding. Nine tracks were created in total, all of them very different from each other, thanks to each artist having such a unique sound. These nine tracks will comprise an album, called, appropriately, Exquisite Corpses, which is scheduled for release in early August. But first…
…before they gather the nine tracks into an album, the three bands are each releasing their tracks as three-track EPs. The first of these, Consequences, drops on June 21st. Created by Lunar Paths, the three tracks that comprise Consequences are A Matter of Time, based on percussion by pMad, Skeleton Key, based on percussion by Killtoys, and the original Lunar Paths track, Zero Trust Mentality. The next two EPs are scheduled for release on July 5th and July 19th, and the Exquisite Corpses album itself is due to drop on August 2nd.
