I sat on the window sill,
And played cards with my brothers
On the hospital bed,
My grandpa was sleeping again,
While we watch La La Land

He's so sly,
With his wordplay smile
He said, you're making me cry

In his hospital gown,
My great-grandfather looked around,
At the room full of people
As he stared at the ceiling,
His eyes glazed, he shared his feelings,
About our present situation
On his hospital bed,
My mother lay her head,
And told him how much she loved him

He's so wise,
With his beard long and white,
He said, when I die,
Don't cry

Sing, dance,
Rejoice, be glad,
