This magical piece by Maestro Roberto De Simone, who was inspired by the sonnet “Di primë ammorë ti venë a salutejë”, recorded for the first time by Roberto Leydi and Diego Carpitella in Carpino in December 1966 (the lyrics in Gargano dialect are present in the collection “I Cantori e musici di Carpino” (The Singers and Musicians of Carpino - Salvatore Villani, Nota) was adapted into the 1975 film Quanto è bello lu murire acciso (How Wonderful to Die Assassinated) directed by director Ennio Lorenzini.
“In Maestro De Simone's version we were fascinated by his minimalism, especially in the chorus, so in re-proposing the song it was natural to approach the sounds of Post-Rock tinged with Indie which takes a lot of inspiration from the minimalism of contemporary American rock” states Ernesto Nobili. For Cristiano Della Monica “the incredibly present-day vibe the composition has makes me think of music that is seemingly quite far off; I wouldn't be surprised if this refrain had been composed by someone like Kurt Cobain of Nirvana”.
