Nectar Robbing from Humble by Mark Ferguson
An Early Bumblebee queen, foraging through a bed of Creeping Comfrey.
Rather than entering the front portion of each comfrey flower and assisting with pollination, this queen was nectar robbing: biting small holes into the underside of the floral tissue with her mandibles and extracting nectar through the perforations.
Her bites are audible, with careful listening.
