Jupiter by Mark Lawrence
"Growth, prosperity, and good fortune in sound. 'Jupiter' is Mark Lawrence’s third album, where Celtic folk guitar meets astrological inspiration". And In astrology, the number 3 is linked to Jupiter, the planet of joy, abundance, success, good fortune, and wisdom. This was the inspiration behind the album title and Front cover.
Featuring guest musicians Adam Rhodes on Bazouki, Russell Cowin on Double Bass, Kirsty Lawrence on Whistle and Katie Lawrence on Violin on the opening track “The Ivy Leaf/Fer dy Clein Click”, the rest of the album continues with a varied showcase of Mark’s Guitar playing with hints of delta blues on the Manx tune “Shooyl Inneenyn” and elements of Classical Guitar on the David Qualey tune “Santa Cruz” alongside a selection of Manx, Cornish and Irish tunes."

Since taking up the Guitar at age of 11 I have played a wide range of styles of Guitar based Music. Starting with Celtic where I learnt basic Chord structures I soon progressed to playing Blues based rock with music by Guitarists such as Eric Clapton and Jimi Hendrix being a major influence along the way. More recently I have returned to playing Folk with a little Jazz thrown in for good measure.
