Murray Mints by marma
British producer Marma presents the ‘Murray Mints’ EP, out via Jennifer Cardini’s prolific Correspondant imprint. Written upon leaving Amsterdam to explore a new adventure in Australia after living in the Dutch capital for many years, the tracks are inspired by a longing to dance with friends once again in Europe; tinged delicately with euphoria, nostalgia and melancholy. The EP opens with it’s title track ‘Murray Mints’. A retro-futuristic jam which effortlessly meshes motifs of Italian cosmic disco, old school balearic and progressive house with clever sampling for an expertly crafted dance floor weapon. Wrapping up the double pack is ‘Yesterday Is Gone’ which utilises gated vocals and big organs aligned with a groovy bassline for a second serving of club ready madness.
