The Barn by Marny Proudfit

7 years ago, I was able to create this project with some of the most talented and kind people I've ever had the honor to meet. These musicians and friends helped me come into my own with this record. Because of how much this collection of songs has meant to me, I've held on to it since 2013 for better or for worse.

But right now, in this volatile season of life we've all found ourselves in, with an invisible but very real threat holding us hostage in our own homes, I've been searching for ways to help the people who have helped me become who I am today.

The people who helped me make this record are primarily all full-time musicians. They make their living through freelance work (gigs, touring, recording, etc.) and in this moment, are feeling a lot of unease about when and where their next job might come around. As extremely motivated, successful, and talented folks who can't help this unfortunate situation, I'd like to give whatever I make from the sales of this record back to them, because it's the best way I know how to help.
