Amidst the high frequency of new releases, collectors and diggers look for one word: exclusivity. Beyond the dusty shelves of used record stores, emerges a vibrant global network dedicated to the musical exploration of the past. Platforms like Discogs have become online havens of sonic rarities, with items that reach prices in the thousands of dollars. In this universe, some treasures become so rare and scarce that they are almost inaccessible to listeners. Inspired by this search for remarkable works that did not receive the recognition they deserved in their time, the label Marrecus Dance Traxxx, under the leadership of Gabriel Fedalto and Lourenzo, releases its new vinyl repress series.

Rooted in Brazil and currently based in Australia, MDX is recognized for its meticulous curation in styles such as electro, house, acid, downtempo, and breakbeat. Focusing on quality rather than volume of releases, the label prioritizes attention to detail, whether in catalog selection, communication, or visual aesthetics. This dedication is one of the factors that reinforce the growing prominence of Latin American projects in the international music scene. Gabriel and Lourenzo, longtime partners who share experiences in other projects, now realize with the label a dream of more than a decade: the release of the label’s first vinyl repress with the re-release of the cult "DJ Qiu & Playchild - Da Boops".

"DJ Qiu & Playchild - Da Boops" is one of those pearls of House Music, lost in time, released more than 30 years ago, of which there are very few copies on the market and is officially non-existent on digital platforms. Selected during Lourenzo’s A&R research, the repress is part of a process of rescuing the work of producers Zied Jouini and Casey Keth, who have shown interest in relaunching the work on vinyl after so many years. Featuring two tracks that adapt to both intimate environments and dance floors, the compositions blend vocals and classic beats with quirky and captivating patterns, both permeated by a jazzy atmosphere. "Good 4 You", more impetuous and energetic, and "Peace, Love...", more dense and engaging, are assertive choices and not obvious for any repertoire.
