One hand holds the stick as the other records. The stick traces a grid across the surface of two thresholds and one wall of each room. The recording preserves the echo of the gesture, an aural imprint of the architecture of each space. The listener projects an imprint of the original house on to their current listening space.

Microphone placement is the new brushstroke.

As a visual artist working in sound, my work centers around creating listening experiences that confront an aural perception of one's own body in space.

They are meeting places, field recorded fragments forming a communal experience between myself and the imagination of the listener.
