Gateway by Megademo

In the summer of 1986, four friends in the small town of Redhaven stumble across a crumbling stone arch hidden in the woods. When they touch it, the air shimmers, revealing a doorway into a dark, shifting world of caves and stairways that seem alive. At first it feels like a secret playground, the adventure they’d always dreamed of.

But the deeper they go, the more the Gateway changes. Whispers echo their names, walls pulse like lungs, and their own reflections move independently in the shadows. When one of them disappears inside, the thrill turns to terror. The remaining friends must find the courage to face what lurks beyond the veil, an ancient presence feeding on their fear.

The town will never believe their story, but they know the truth: some doors should never be opened.
