Breakfast Time by Michael Anderson Music
Breakfast Time is reflective music inspired by the aesthetics of the morning. These songs capture the variety of experiences that come with waking up to a world full of joy, pain, distraction, whimsicality and the unexpected moments of the day.
In his latest album, Michael Anderson blends folk lyrics and melodies with electronic sounds and elements of classical composition. This unique folktronic collection creates a rich palette of diverse sounds, inspiring different responses to the experience of breakfast and the morning. The opening "Breakfast Time" is a call to the listener to find the simple joys in waking up and embracing a new day. "Cliff" and "Siren's Song" depict choices about love made while falling into the whimsical nature of romance or thinking about one's misguided idea of love over coffee. "Black Coffee" and "Thule" bring more somber tones to the album as a call to recognize strength in unity in our world and as a mythical narrative of the dreamer who seeks the ideal, but only in their dream. "Scrambled Eggs" is really about scrambled eggs. With these reflective and contemplative songs that examine life's variability, Michael Anderson rehumanizes breakfast.

Michael Anderson is an experienced composer and piano performer. His original compositions encompass works in multiple genres, including Classical, New Age, Folk, Electronic/Pop and Indie/Electronic. He received a Masters in composition from North Carolina School of the Arts and currently works as a composer in residence at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem.
