A lot has changed in a short time recently. Your emails are littered with closing businesses, and your days filled with open schedules.
I imagine we are all wrestling with a lot of interesting thoughts and feelings in light of this new environment. I'm sure there is some fear about health and financial security.
I am a piano teacher and a composer. Though my teaching has been greatly halted and my gigs canceled, I can still write music! Which is why...
I am starting a 2 week project called the "Daily Wash."
Every day I am going to either write a new song, or hire a musician friend to write the song.
The music will be free, and will be given to you all with the desire to bring reflection, peace and hope in this time of need and uncertainty.
If you choose to donate funds towards the music, all proceeds will go to a Mercy Fund at Salem Presbyterian Church, Winston-Salem. This fund is supporting folks in our community who do not have incoming financial support during this state of emergency.

Michael Anderson is an experienced composer and piano performer. His original compositions encompass works in multiple genres, including Classical, New Age, Folk, Electronic/Pop and Indie/Electronic. He received a Masters in composition from North Carolina School of the Arts and currently works as a composer in residence at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Winston-Salem.
