Chimeraz, the 10th studio album from Portland electronic music duo Microfilm, is their exploration into “mutant pop,” touching on footwork and techno.


“The impetus was to make a collection of tracks something like 'George Michael on Warp Records' or 'Modeselektor producing the Pet Shop Boys'” says vocalist/lyricist Matt Keppel.

"It's a densely layered, broad fusion of musical touchpoints ranging from techno and footwork to both experimental sound design and pop," continues musician Matthew Mercer.

With 11 songs clocking in at 35 minutes, it’s a short, sharp, shock of an album. Mutation complete.
