One day I felt lonely, and blue, pessimistic view
nothing to light the way, seems like just yesterday

came a knock at the door, something I’ve heard before
had to get ready, had to get steady

I’ll be right there, long as I don’t fall
might take a minute to get down the hall

Gotta find my glasses, then I’ll find the door
don’t wanna step on them, they fell on the floor

Just come on in….. the door isn’t locked
Watch out for the stuff there, the hallway might be blocked

And then that knocking, just went away
nobody came in, or heard what I said

Gotta find my glasses, gonna need em someday
How long they been gone, I really can’t say
