Filmmusik by Misanthrop

"The thing that’s good about Hip Hop is that it has experimented with a lot of different sounds and music."

Afrika Bambaataa's famous quote was internalized by producer, DJ and rapper Misanthrop long time ago. And now he has perfected this principle on his first full length instrumental long player.

One can sense the influences of boom bap and trip hop, gives a confirming headnod to the beats and drums and simply feels good within the well-tempered mix of samples and synths. Among the vast variety of sounds, you can even detect cuts made from real records and rare souvenirs from Misanthrops' travels to Asia and even a little touch of trap.

He who listens very carefully can even discover much more: Bengalese rock music, dub step, fragments of drum & bass and many more. All things considered, it is per se the soundtrack of his musical life from the past year, i.e. "Filmmusik" (Film music).

“Filmmusik” has been released on vinyl with a super nice cover artwork from azabeats and as digital download.
