Automatic by miss al boogie
About 6 years ago, I heard this Georgia Anne Muldrow song (only an instrumental) and immediately began thinking of these lyrics. I played with them, even recorded them before. I didn't like those recordings but I've been playing with the song in my live show for about 4 years now. After hearing it once I added DJ thecainmarko to my live set (DJ AND backup dancer), I finally felt like this was it. We filtered and played and did all kinds of things to get to this version. Lyrics are mix of scifi, scientific, STEM, tech nonsense that actually reflected something significant for me in my life at the time. Ionno, kinda covert I guess. Also silly. Then we recorded it last week and I shot our recording session and made a lil social media video that cost all of 25 cents. So 6 years and a 2 hour recording session later, here we are.
