Sisyphus, Uphill by DJ Mile High Club

‘Sisyphus, Uphill’ is the latest EP from Amsterdam-based producer DJ Mile High Club. This project explores the concept of “perpetual beginning”: tracks restart, rebuild, and refuse resolution. Like the mythic figure of Sisyphus condemned to eternal repetition, there is no summit here, only the act of pushing forward.

The five tracks create a sonic landscape shaped by arps, trance stabs, and playful sound design. Melodies emerge and disappear. Glitches fill the spaces in between.

Created during a period of personal transformation and inspired by the artistic process itself, ‘Sisyphus, Uphill’ captures the friction between wanting permanence and confronting inevitable change. At its core: the impossibility of satisfaction, the necessity of letting go, and finding grace in constant motion.

『Sisyphus, Uphill』は、アムステルダムを拠点とするプロデューサー、DJ Mile High Clubによる最新EP。本作は「終わりなき始まり（perpetual beginning）」という概念を探求している。トラックは何度もリスタートし、再構築され、決して解決へと向かわない。永遠に岩を押し上げ続ける運命を背負った神話上の人物シーシュポスのように、ここに頂上は存在せず、あるのは前に進み続ける行為そのものだけだ。

全5曲は、アルペジオ、トランス的なスタブ、遊び心のあるサウンドデザインによって形作られた音の風景を描く。メロディは現れては消え、隙間を埋めるようにグリッチが入り込む。

個人的な変化の時期に制作され、創作行為そのものから着想を得た『Sisyphus, Uphill』は、永続性を求める欲望と、避けられない変化に直面することとの摩擦を捉えている。その核心にあるのは、満足が不可能であること、手放すことの必然性、そして絶え間ない動きの中に見出される静かな美しさだ。
