Induction.23 by Cacotopos

Cacotopos is the sonic derangement of Chris Gladwin (The Wyrding Module, Team Doyobi) and Matteo Polato (Yami Kurae, Mamuthones). A crucible of sulphuric psyche, dirty electronics, diced breakbeats, and shambling noise. Induction.23 was recorded live at the School Of Digital Arts (Manchester, UK) in September 2023. An improvised assault beginning with mouldering horror ambience before abruptly switching tracks into mutant D’n’B competing with malfunctioning heavy plant and deep fried Hammond organ. The piece collapses in an avalanche of sonic rubble then reconstrues itself for another round psychedelic-break-noise with a more droning melodic quality before finally burning out in a spent mess. Expect to hear more from this enigmatic project.
