Motel Pools is a garage punk rock project formed by California-native musician Chiara Angelicola, most notably known for her work in the project Bird Call. Original demos for Motel Pools were tracked in Chiara's Williamsburg living room in 2011 and then stored in the digital dungeons until her recent relocation back to her hometown of San Francisco. Upon her return to northern California, Chiara reached out to friend Kyp Malone (TV on the Radio, Rain Machine) in Brooklyn to help produce and bring the songs to life. Honus Honus of Man Man makes a guest vocal appearance on the track "Lemme Walk Your Dog". MP covers Butthole Surfers' Human Cannonball with extra growls from Kyp. Friends Alex Balderston, Dan Kalisher, and Kiel Feher also play on the recordings. All tracks were recorded in living rooms and at Heritage Studios in Burbank, CA. Motel Pools EP released June 3rd 2015 on Suburban Rage Records.
