Cut & Run from Natural Sound by Deian Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas George Mountbatten (date of birth: 19th November 1965)

This song poster is my hand-drawn and hand-signed art drawing with yellow colour pencil on blue marble art paper with the same title, Cut And Run, from 4th January 1978.
CUT AND RUN [3:29 min.], words and music written and composed on 12th January 1978 by myself, Deian Louis Francis Albert Victor Nicholas George Mountbatten, date of birth 19th November 1965, and I performed on all vocals and on all music instruments (synthesizers, and I created the percussive tom sounds on a Moog synthesizer CV-triggered with an arpeggiator, but performed my self-made e-drum sounds with two drum brushsticks in my hands hitting two cork pads I cut out of an old pin-board, by using normal dynamic microphones fixed with sticky tape under the cork pads to trigger synthesizer oscillators/white noise oscis and ADSR filters for the snare-like and bassdrum like drum sounds). Recorded at home in my L-Sound Studio, on the 1st floor at Christian-Herbst-Straße 9, 7830 Emmendingen 15 - Mundingen, West-Germany.

Out of my diary from 12th January 1978: Having returned home riding my bicycle from Emmendingen to the village Mundingen, initially thinking about my newest drawing with yellow colour pencil on blue marble art paper with the title Cut And Run from 4th January 1978, yet musically inspired by a 1962 recording of a Serbian folk song called "Kafu Mi Draga Ispeci" by Predrag Gojković Cune, I composed a new song today, and since I was learning Biology and Chemistry at Grammar school Markgrafen Realschule Emmendingen at a fairly high level I was thinking of using Cut And Run Sequencing as the title, but cut it down to Cut & Run. In the lyrics it is about the Cut And Run Sequencing method, the so-called Sanger sequencing method, developed last year in 1977, that enabled scientists to read the genetic code for the first time. It is based on the natural process of DNA replication. So you think it's over and you are thinking so right. Your face turns into a mask of fear ... I also had a quick chat about the Sanger, or Cut And Run Sequencing, method with my neighbour from the house on the opposite side of the street Christian-Herbst-Straße, Frau Hobom, and she gave me a brochure and offered to give me extra afternoon lessons in Biology and Chemistry to explain it to me all in more detail, as she did a translation from US American English into German for Bayer AG Pharmaceuticals in Leverkusen. Good I did not name my song Captain Drunk. 😀
