La Marque Davis, also known as Sydetrack'd, has been inspired to make atmospherical hip-hop even since hearing the soundtrack of the 2004 anime Samurai Champloo, composed by Nujabes, Fat Jon, Tsutchie and Force of Nature. His other influences for his music came from electronic producer Flying Lotus, hiphop producer Dr Who Dat, and jazz performers Norman Brown and Gerald Albright.
