Struggle by mulmeyun
"Struggle" is about many things. The songs came about over roughly 5 years and tell the story of my coming of age, they are however not autobiographical at all, but a reflection of what I felt while writing them.
The main struggle is establishing an identity, so it deals with heritage, relationships with others, love, religion, everything that defines who you are and how the world perceives you.
It is about meaning, struggling with the idea of god. It gets pretty gloomy at times, but I don't think I could have done anything else, it wouldn't have been real.
This whole journey has been quite cathartic and I hope you can find comfort in these sounds as I have. It is relieving to cry, to scream, to shout loudly who you are and what you believe in, to feel proud of your ancestors, your country, your language and acknowledge everything that comes with it. You will find a lot of resistance, but I think it is that eternal struggle what gives life purpose. Learn to savor the negative emotions, cause they come in metric tons, if you love to fight, then your injuries are medals of honor, you will learn a lot from them and you'll look forward to the next challenge, even if you know you can be hurt.

I'll be releasing an updated version of this album very soon, there are some things i left out this time, like an introduction, a couple of interludes and an outro, I didn't want to burden the listener too much, as the tempos are very brooding and the themes long winded, but I still want to conceive this as I imagine it in my head, since I'm this close already, it shouldn't take too long before I post a "deluxe" version. If you purchase this one, the update will be free for you.
Booklet with lyrics to come as well and I owe an orchestral score to someone,so stay tuned.
