Never ones to shy away from their political affiliations, Beat Jazz Combo have one again put forth another bold statement of their intent upon the world.
While 'Shabbat Noir' may be an intentional nod to heavy metal band "Black Sabbath", they continue to make statements to indicate their support of those who face the struggle against oppression.
'Antifa Beat' speaks for itself, echoing the chosen cover image, while fourth track pays homage to the band of Jewish servicemen and women who continued the fight against fascism after the end of WW2 on the streets of Britain.
'Delta People', Farouk told me, is about those people who can be found in the river deltas across the world, in the slums and shanties around the ports' always kept at arms length from "polite society", despite being the ones that keep all the cogs in motion, while 'This Is My Village, This Is My Home' highlights those who are forcibly displaced from the only place they know as home.
