Notebook from Colours by Nikki Rous
When I first started writing my own songs and the young age of 16 I didn't have the confidence to share them. I sat in my bedroom and used my writing as a form of therapy I guess. I also suffered from depression and low self confidence in my younger days. This song is about that. My husband added the guitar solo to this track.

I found you here so I could tell my tale
About a girl who didn't like to fail
She wrote some words on the pages of a notebook
And hid it well somewhere no one else would look

Nikki started off on the stage as a dancer when she was about 5 years old. At the age of 16, she bought her first guitar and fell into a world of diverse musical discovery.
Nikki was born with a rare genetic connective tissue disease called Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome (EDS) and is an advocate for invisible illnesses as well as mental health issues. .
