Gonda by Niko Seibold's Elfton Ensemble
'Gonda' is the first single release of 'Grow With The Flow' which releases 1st of March 2024.
'Gonda' is based on the original poem in Rhaeto-Romanic by Swiss poet Luisa Famos. The text starts with 'Tuots sun passats', which translates into 'All are gone', depicting forgotten ruins in a place in Famos' home state, the Grisons (Graubünden). The language is spoken only by around 30.000 people today. To the best of my knowledge, an English translation does not exist. The German translation can be heard on the album track 'Gonda Intro'.
