The Ganas EP is dedicated to Professor Jaime Escalante who passed away on March 30, 2010. The movie ''Stand and Deliver'' was based on his life. As a math teacher, he worked hard to inspire Latino students in East L.A. to work hard at their math skills and at life with ''Desire'' or in Spanish ''Ganas''. When everyone else expected Latinos not to do well at advanced Math and Calculus, he reminded students that the Aztecs and Mayans were masters of numbers. The tracks on the ''Ganas EP'' are designed to inspire listeners to overcome expectations and remember that today's so-called ''minorities'' are the descendents of some of the worlds greatest civilizations.
"Nomadico aka DJ Dex is the new wave of UR field soldier, yet much of Ganas recalls the work of Octave One and Rolando. The title track favours a pacey tribal drum arrangement, underpinned by a snaking, sinewy bassline and featuring jazzy keys and lush strings. "In Your Blood" follows a similar trajectory, with a rolling rhythm unfolding to reveal string-led melodies. UR have recruited from within their own ranks for the remixes; the Unknown Soldier's People Unite Drum mix focuses on the crashing drums and features some infectious whistles, while the UR mix sees the Detroit collective bring the soaring strings to the fore." - Juno UK

His remix of the UR classic "Final Frontier" in 2021 introduced the anthem to a new generation.
