New Orleans Slim No. 4 cut his teeth as an upright bassist in the Big Easy, backing bluesmen like Guitar Slim Jr., St. Louis Slim, and Slim Nelson (this is all true), along with NO legends like Snooks Eaglin and Coco Robichaux. Now, Slim (this Slim) has picked up guitar, using it to channel the Slims to which he was once indentured. The result is gutter-style blues, short on fancy, long on nasty.
