The Tracks: A Sonic Odyssey
"1980": Kicking off the EP with a synth-driven homage, this track pulls listeners into a time warp, echoing the analog warmth and foundational sounds of classic electronic music while layering modern, punchy production.
"Air": A soaring, atmospheric piece that provides a moment of sonic breathing room. "Air" is an exercise in expansive sound design, utilizing shimmering pads and delicate textures to create an immersive, weightless experience.
"Devoid": Plunging into darker, more introspective territory, "Devoid" showcases NoSushi's mastery of tension and release. It features driving basslines and intricate percussion, building a compelling sense of urgent, hypnotic energy.
"Manner2": The closing track offers a slow, poignant farewell. Moving away from the typical club energy, "Manner2" is a distinctly melancholic and contemplative piece. It uses minimal beats and rich, sustained harmonies to create a deeply emotional and atmospheric conclusion to the EP.
HSTR is more than just an EP; it's a statement. It solidifies NoSushi as an artist unafraid to explore the full emotional and technical range of the electronic music genre.
Q: How did the band form and come up with the name NoSushi?
I took the name from a play on word in French, “No-Soucis” which turned to be NoSushi.
Q: How long has the band been around?
I am now going on my 10th year as a producer.
Q: How have the people closest to you reacted to your music?
Some like to see it as a mirror of myself, other take it as if it was not me playing (laughs…)
