Morbus by Nox Nave

This is the seventh full-length album by Nox Nave (the sixth one in English), and the thirteenth release overall. It is full of avant-garde and dark alternative music with minimal electronic sounds, and a very downtempo album unlike most of the other releases.

This album was originally recorded in 2012 under a different artist name, and with multiple track changes throughout the years. The genre has been consistent. I have considered numerous times changing the music to something dancier and much more electronic, but ultimately, I felt it wouldn't do the album justice by making it more "typical", so to speak. The appeal is the avant-garde influence that reflects my "hit the record button and open my mouth to express my random thoughts" impromptu style that parts of the MONSTRUM album incorporated, except much more pronounced in MORBUS. The theme centers on my mental health struggles, despite "morbus" (Latin) typically referring to a physical illness, but depression can be physical, too. Even though my mental health struggles have greatly reduced the past few years due to proper medication and successful therapy, I still wanted to share this personal release.

MORBUS may or may not be the final release by Nox Nave, as I plan to retire this artistry to focus on other ones.

I am an artist who creates various styles of dark music: synthpop, electronica, alternative, and avant-garde. I write songs in multiple languages, but mostly English.

All lyrics, vocals, production, and artwork are done by me, unless stated otherwise.

I also write in various genres of fiction under multiple pen names.
