Unconvention by Frente Cumbiero

After securing heavy rotation status with their debut single on Names You Can Trust, Frente Cumbiero triumphantly returns with their 2nd original single. Building upon their recent and rousing European and New York City tour in 2011, as well as the ongoing Ondatropica project with Quantic at the legendary Disco Fuentes studio in Medellin, this new single encapsulates the energy the group has developed as musicians and performers, as expressed in the rousing percussive, energy of the A-Side bomb Unconvention, to the synth-bass driven, psychedelic trip of B-Side Ika. A perfect blend of Colombian roots rhythms and modern, inventive composition and instrumentation that'll have bodies shaking and heads turning - another strong reminder that Frente Cumbiero is quickly becoming the leader in the Cumbia Nueva movement.
