Zoro from Wooooo/Zoro by of Tropique
“of Tropique” is a Japanese instrumental pop band formed in 2018.
Their music sounds like a tropical version of Japanese "Nabe" soup made by mixing different types of old and new ingredients from all over the world with crazy spices to spice it up. Mario Galeano of Frente Cumbiero describes the range of the band's signature style "from Surf to Zappa to Cumbia, experimental and a very nice mix of things!" Their music is as if Captain Beefheart meets Os Mutantes in a Colombian bar in a back alley in Tokyo. Listening to "of Tropique" will take you on a little trip to the peculiar side of Tokyo, one of the most bizarre cities in the world.
They are going to release this 7" 45RPM record on Record Store Day, April 16, 2021 on Electric Cowbell Records.
