Exotica EP by OIL COMPANY

Exotica is an imaginary music. Previously the domain of soldiers returning home from war & searching for an escape from the stifling order of triumphal American society so envision some island of the mind, free from the strictures of Eisenhower capitalism. The aim of this record is to explore a memory of a memory. The elegiac spasms of a culture near its end. (2k18) An inability to imagine the future necessitates a dying organism search all its referents for a way forward. Some way out. I could have been raised on an island but my mother married differently. Imaginary music.
