The fires burned before I could have seen their

Gods who have cradled our filth. We concede that

Hope is a future and past far beyond the
Turn of the wheel is a cliché response to
Loss and the crippling ache of the wanting
A peg that has spun out of reach.
The men that I will make will any of them see me
As a blight within their being, as a shame they can’t erase?
