Je me suis lancé dans ces enregistrements à une époque où j'avais besoin de réfléchir, de méditer à ma manière. Je voulais regarder ce qu'il se passe quand je laisse la place aux accompagnements. Je voulais me laisser totalement guider par le matériel au lieu d'écrire des chansons.

I started recording this record at a time when I needed to think, to meditate in my own way. Contrechamps means looking at the other side, let the accompaniments develop alone. I wanted to do something that should be forbidden, I wanted to let myself driven by hardware instead of writing actual songs.
