Proceed by Orthodox
"Proceed" sees the return of guitarist Ricardo Jiménez to the lineup for the first time since 2011’s "Baal". To capture this mammoth album, Billy Anderson (Sleep, Melvins, High On Fire, Om, Neurosis, EyeHateGod) flew to Spain in November 2021 to record them at La Mina Studios (Sevilla).
"Proceed" represents ORTHODOX's return to its original essence, but also a step forward as a band. After a multitude of different projects around the band and a long way traveled, they are back to reel off heavy riffs like a three-headed juggernaut.

Orthodox is a trio from Seville, Spain playing experimental doom metal inspired by religious folklore and jazz. A music based on hypnotic repetitions of quasi-mystical
intensity and slow, torpid rhythms befitting people from a city of crushing summer heat. Musical influences from Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd or Melvins mixed with their peculiar perception of Southern Spain folklore and avantgarde.
