This performance took place in the context of the occupation of Los Angeles by the California National Guard and US Marines, called in to facilitate the activities of Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the shock troops of domestic US fascism.
ICE raids are ongoing, and Los Angeles continues to resist. Any proceeds from this release will be sent to the Community Self-Defense Coalition, which has helped to organize neighborhood-level civilian patrols. Civilian patrols and autonomous organizing are the only means we have to keep ourselves safe while the city and state either do nothing or actively collaborate with ICE.
