Lift my head up just a little and I see nothing

Put my head back on the pillow and my eyes go dim

In the middle of the night the time becomes ambiguous

There are flashes through the curtains and it lights the room

The sky is moving towards the ocean

As the daylight looms

Once it’s morning then it’s over

There will be no more bad dreams



The rain sounds

Like white noise

A low growl

It turns out

A vivid dream

Or reality

I’m not sure

It doesn’t matter now







I will not fall

I will wake up

Cause I can’t take it anymore

I won’t be long

I’m running up

Cause I can’t fake it anymore



I dreamt about you yet again and woke up cold

My hand upon the scripture

Vivid, blackened edge

I should’ve hid, cause I can’t run

And I’m thrown back a worn out mess



I never dream about my name lit in the torchlight

Always chased into a corner

Without a fight

Only when I wake up weight is lifted

I can breath again
