K-rAd brought his modular system to Wave Land for an extended collaboration with Sean and Kev. The sessions focused on long-form improvisation, with late-night jams meandering into early mornings. With the clock running and many hands at work, the ear was free to explore, forging an intricate sonic connection. Designated musical roles were dismissed, with each individual contributing directly to the lush soundscapes spun from synthesizers, drum machines, samplers, and keyboards. Each track conjured the feeling of cautiously pacing through forests choked with trees, burgeoning undergrowth, and the perforating calls of birds and insects. The result is an expansive neural party of rhythm and texture, pooled into tempos, and cast out to pulse the air around curious listeners.
