“I had named them Daisy because of how their gorgeous fur resembled that of the beautiful flower. What I didn’t realize at the time was that they were more akin to a wilting daisy: starved of attention and love, as their petals scattered into the wind… and this situation was simply blowing those petals far away, never to be seen again. I hope I can nurse this daisy back to health, so they can be whole again; strong and unwilting.”
